Hello everyone! My name is Danni and I am a copywriter and content marketer here at Surfer. I am honored, and super excited to be on this journey with you during the SEO Writing Masterclass. This is a class dedicated to all the content writers out there. Content writers, content marketers and content managers.

Who is this course for? We’ve designed this course with both content managers and content writers in mind. My hope is that this course is the perfect balance between data-driven research and also lived experience from content writers.

The goal of this SEO Writing Masterclass is to give you the tools that you need to write amazingly SEO optimized content, but also not go crazy in the process!

We want to increase your chances of getting to the first page of Google having high-ranking content.

Who is this course for?

For the content managers, and agency owners we hope that this course serves as an all-in-one package you can share with your team to not only learn about SEO in an engaging and concise way, but to also learn the ins and outs of Surfer as a tool. Basically, we’d like to take some work off your plate.

For the copywriters and content creators, our goal is to give you an overview of SEO-optimized content, but also to show you new, more efficient ways to power through the writing process.

This is a course which covers a wide variety of topics regarding both SEO and overall content creation. We’ll try our best to answer all the questions you may have had, but never asked. For example:

What’s the difference between a title tag and an H1? How important is the meta description? How do you know how many images to include in your post? What are other visual pauses you can add to improve overall readability? What is NLP, and why does it matter? Which factors does Google consider important when deciding what is “high-quality” content? Does alt text have a real function?

We’ll answer all these questions and more during this course.

What's the structure of this course?

We broke this course down into different modules so as to be as concise and precise as possible. So, like I said before, it is self-paced. You can take your time with it, or go as fast as you have to. But, I will warn you that it is jam-packed with information. So that being said, when you can't absorb anymore, just respect the process, and come back to it when you can.

I guess that's to be expected when you combine more than 30 SEO experts' knowledge into one giant course! We really hope that it's digestible, easy to understand and that you enjoy it as well!

You’re currently in module one where you’ll get a zoomed out version of what’s to come, as well as some tips to make the most of this course.

In module two, we’ll go through the discovery phase--you know, research, establishing target keywords and outlining your idea. Next we'll head to the writing phase where we’ll tackle more specific aspects of SEO and lastly the optimization phase where we’ll discuss what to do after you’ve hit ‘publish.’

Finally, in module three we’ll share a syllabus, FAQs and of course add a few bonus lessons for the more ambitious or advanced students.

After finishing this course, you will: Feel empowered to write high-quality content for you and your clients Know how to make every page you write part of a bigger content strategy Be able to find and evaluate the best keywords Know how to audit and optimize your content after publication And most importantly, feel confident including SEO optimization in your content strategy

Here are a few tips to make sure you get the most out of this SEO Writing Masterclass: You don’t need to complete all the lessons in one sitting! It’s full of information, so you may reach a point where your mind wanders because it simply can’t absorb any more details. Don’t force it! You can always pick back up where you left off. This course is designed to be self-paced. The lessons can be viewed in order, or as stand-alone videos. You’ll see a brief summary of each video and its contents before you hit play. If you need to pause, or hit rewind please do. I’m a Chicago girl, and sometimes I speak faster than I mean to. I’m just going to say sorry in advance! Take notes! We don’t expect you to commit all of this information to memory! Lastly, interact. We want this course to be two-sided. Leave comments, ask questions, or simply say hello! We want to hear from you and so do your fellow students! Join the Surfer Facebook group. There are thousands of folks there who understand the nuances of this tool because they use it every single day. Between you and me, they’re super friendly and always willing to help.

So, if you enjoy this course, and I hope that you will, just know that our inbox is always open. If you ever have any questions, any comments, any doubts or any feedback, you can always let us know in the comments section or by sending us an email.

The entire idea of this SEO Writing Masterclass is to make the lives of content writers, content marketers, content creators and agency owners, content managers easier.
